Parti-Color Variety - Two or more solid colors (clearly defined) with one
being white; black and white, red and white (the red may range from lightest cream to darkest red), brown and white, and
It is preferable that the tan markings be located in the same pattern as for the tan points in the Black and ASCOB varieties.
Roans are classified as parti-colors and includes the usual roaning patterns. Roans can also
include tan points. "Roan - a blue-gray or iron-gray, this color is the fine mixing of colored hairs with white
hairs. For example, a blue roan is a coat comprised of black and white hairs."
Black Variety - Solid color black to include black with tan points. The black
should be jet; brown or liver in the coat aren't desirable. Small amount of white on the chest/throat is allowed; white in
any other area is not acceptable.
Black with Tan Points Tan Points--Tan
may include cream to red and any shade in between and should be 10% or less.
NOTE: Location of tan points in
Black or ASCOB variety:
*Tan spot over each eye *On the sides of the muzzle *The underside
of the ears; *On all feet/legs; *Under the tail; *On the chest is optional
Any
Solid Color Other than Black (ASCOB) - This category of color includes any solid color other than black,
cream to dark red, this also includes brown and brown with tan points. The color must be uniform. A small
amount of white on the chest/throat is acceptable.
